Barefoot Bytes (Pty) Ltd (“Barefoot Bytes”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through www.barefootbytes.com, why we collect it and how we protect it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Information we collect

  • Information you give us when you use our contact form, email or call us: your name, email address, phone number, company name and the details of your project.
  • Usage information collected by Google Analytics and Google Ads, such as the pages you visit, your approximate location, device and browser. This information does not identify you by name.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare quotes and proposals.
  • To deliver and support the services you engage us for.
  • To understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it and measure our advertising.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing messages without your consent.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run this website: Google Firebase (hosting), EmailJS (delivering contact form messages to our inbox) and Google Analytics and Google Ads (website analytics and advertising measurement). These providers may process information outside South Africa, under their own privacy and security commitments.

Cookies

Google Analytics and Google Ads use cookies to measure visits and conversions. These cookies are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time, or block and delete cookies in your browser settings; the website will still work.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry and client information only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to us processing it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
